Sometime during the four years of high school, members of the CitrusTV Sports Department realized that a future as a collegiate or professional athlete was not in the cards. Instead, a career in sports journalism better suited their athletic abilities or lack thereof.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t feel the need for competition every once in a while.
In addition to the unmatched on-air opportunities CitrusTV provides, the experience also teaches everyone important skills to maintain station equipment. This includes the proper method to coil cables.
Eric Forman ’11 hasn’t quite yet mastered that technique, yet he felt compelled to challenge operations manager (and master of the over-under method) Wes Purvis ’10 to a duel.
The challenge — a 50 yard cable used for SUper Sports stretched out over the Carrier Dome turf. The fastest to properly coil the cable would be declared the winner and earn all of the glory.
